Voter Service
We are still registering voters in advance of election day. This Friday, October 6th, we will have a table at NJIT’s Non-profit Expo and will conduct voter registration and education activities for students, staff and faculty. The last event there where Judith Friedman and Amy Ipp provided voter information and education was very successful, and we expect that this should be as well. If you want to volunteer to help, please contact us. We will carpool there.
We had a successful Voter Registration Day registering voters at the Livingston Library (partnering with the National Council of Jewish Women) and at the Welcome to Livingston event.
Due to inclement weather, the Youth Appreciation Day was rescheduled to Saturday, October 14th at the Livingston Oval. If you can help out with voter registration at our table there, please contact us at livingstonlwv@gmail.com.
Amy Ipp and Robin Weiss were honored guests at a Naturalization ceremony at the Federal Courthouse in Newark. 29 people from 22 countries around the globe were sworn in as new citizens. It was an inspiring ceremony and we registered quite a few new voters and provided information to the group.
